Losers Cirque
Czech company Losers Cirque fuses acrobatics, dance, and theatrical narrative in their totally unique, genre-bending productions.
Losers Cirque Company is a theatre ensemble of performers – actors, acrobats, mimes, and dancers. They’ve been creating and producing multi-genre shows for ten years. Their performances combine top-level acrobatics, live music, dance, and stand-up comedy.
Their home stage is Divadlo BRAVO!, formerly known as a theatre Branické divadlo in Prague.
Their story begins with winning the first series of the TV show Czech and Slovak’s Got the Talent. Back then they were just an acrobatic duo: DaeMen. After this competition, they started to perform at various events and slowly began to create new projects. Their first show was a little crazy cabaret called Lidoskop. With this project, they met many talented acrobats and performers who became first members of their brand new company: Losers Cirque.
Their company is named after their first performance called The Loser(s). The title of the show was so memorable that people started to call them “losers.” It became the obvious name choice for their company.
Losers Cirque Company’s shows are very diverse thanks to collaboration with artists from other fields, including music, dance, pantomime etc. So far, they have created 8 full-length theatrical performances, they’ve performed in several countries all over the world, and they’ve also received nominations and awards for their work. The most significant is the nomination of their performer and artistic director Petr Horníček for the Thalia award for his exceptional performance in the show EGO.
